Ley Lines of Liverpool - A new urban fantasy

| Ley Lines of Liverpool |
Beneath the streets of Liverpool, something is waking...
Psychics have always existed - hidden, hunted, divided - but now they must choose sides, depending on their intentions. The balance between good and evil is at a tipping point.
As a dormant power ignites across the city, a secret cold war between those who are ‘sensitive’ threatens to spill out into the open. Some are forced to step forward as protectors. Others seek to embrace the dark potential of the energy surging from below.
Caught in the middle is Dr. Peggy Maxwell, whose abilities could turn the tide - or erase the world as we know it. In a city built on history and passion, the fight for the future won’t be won with fists alone - but with minds, and the courage to keep going come what may.
Atmospheric and charged with psychic power, this contemporary urban fantasy (35000 words) blends gritty realism with supernatural suspense. Perfect for readers who love a bit of modern mysticism and high-stakes maneuvering hidden in plain sight.
This is my first story for more mature readers, I do hope you enjoy it!

Here's an excerpt from Chapter One:
'The pressure mounts. Peggy feels her anchor memory waver, the hospital corridor wall buckling under Clarke’s assault. She bites down, hard, focusing on the sensation of the pin in her palm. She rides the memory, amplifies it: the blood, the screaming, the moment she refused to let a kid die on her watch. She channels it outward, flooding the room with her own psychic resonance.
The effect is immediate. The table’s glass top fractures, a spiderweb of cracks spun from under her hand. Sebastian staggers, recoiling from the psychic backlash. Clarke’s mind recoils too, but not before he gets a snapshot of Peggy’s thoughts - enough, she hopes, to convince him she’s not bluffing.'
